Meow wanted to start the tree-lighting early.

This picture is clearly fake.
No real Jaguar would only have one failure light lit.

That’s an incredibly subtle check engine light.

You want to hear a real awesome Jaguar failure light story?
We got rear ended in our 2005 Vanden Plas. Insurance has totaled the car. Kind of a godsend because there was an intermittent air suspension light, the parking brake didn’t work, and there was an airbag light. (Remember that last one) We drove down to Atlanta to see a 2005 XJR, and came back with a 2007 Vanden Plas that is too new and has too few miles for how much we paid for it from a dealer. We paid too little and i t has issues, but nothing swapping a few parts from the old car can’t fix. For example, the driver’s seat in the green car had cracks and a split in it, but the 2005 didn’t and the interiors are the same color. So we swapped the drivers seats. 6 bolts, 3 connectors, job done and nobody is the wiser.
Except when we fired up the 2007 with the 2005 seat, guess what new light we got! An airbag light! At least we know it's the side airbag or the seatbelt tensioner that are throwing the code...

Idk what Jag this is, but dislike rectangular and bland digital gauge displays, and I probs don’t like this Jag as a result.

They know it’ll be on a lot and don’t want to startle you

I used my Jaguar (85 XJ6) to jump start my GTI today where I had left the lights on all afternoon. Didn’t even catch fire. No warning lights either.

It’s a 2014 XJL. 2016+ got much improved graphics but I don’t think I can upgrade easily.

It’s not a problem for you. I simply don’t like this trend. I don’t find it luxurious or classy. It looks cheap compared to what I consider to be more fancy, and luxurious looking mechanical gauges.

Agreed. Eventually, physical gauges will be a feature because they will cost more to build.

So it can give me a CEL, of course.

You like to live on the edge, don’t you?

At that point, I’m sure they’ll just be extinct. I’m making sure I never own a car with primary digital gauges. And so far, most every car I’d want comes without and makes it even easier. Though if the Mercedes A-Class does come to ‘Murica in AMG form and out performs the current CLA-45, that may make things difficult.
